So...... Ten years from the start......

it returns. I'm doing something about it. The idea is simple: tell everyone what you are doing about Climate Change and other pressing crises of our time.  Collectively we can comment & critique, support, and help the best, most powerful ideas rise to the top.


This was my friend Kristian and I's great idea back at Earth Day 2007. We were proto-millenials trying to wrap our brain around this world, the challenges our generation needs to arise to, and how exactly we can engage. Ten years later, Kristian is a full-time oceanographic wind powered explorer, and I'm a bicycle powered non-profit administrator.  - I always knew he was cooler then me ;)

So, Today was the Climate March in over 300 cities, and a couple thousand Santa Barbaran's made it out for our march. I was inspired, frustrated, but mostly a bit sunburnt from the 2 hours of pre-march programming in the hot, concrete stadium stairs. Lot's of great speakers. Too many, in fact. AND it was rather arbitrary as to who rose to spoke and what suggestions they had. As marchers, or rather, attendees, we had only our cardboard signs to express our own creativity as to how we can leverage power and start to resolve the climate crisis.



So, He's what I'm doing about it. I'm rebuilding, from the detritus of the internet and my memory, the IMDOINGIT.ORG website. And I am going to reach out to my friends to share their stories, peer-review and brainstorm together, and collectively inspire each other to meaningful action to tackle climate change and other pressing issues.
